Dropping Daylight

I got an email today announcing that I should buy the new record from Dropping Daylight (Hey, I might as well point a little traffic their way, right?). As my daily inbox attests to, I’m still on many a random band’s email list. Every weekend I’m invited to the breakthrough, career-making shows of bands from Boston to NYC to Chicago to LA, and many in the UK. And as their shows tail off and bands split up and careers perpetually fail to be made, new bands rush in to fill the void. It’s the rock and roll circle of life. Dropping daylight, indeed. . .

But Dropping Daylight’s release I found particularly amusing, only because it reminded me of the gig we shared with them: Midwest Music Summit, Indianapolis, Aug 13, 2004.

Read Joe’s post about it.

…the only copy of that setlist was given to the “producer” that was schmoozing us that night. If I remember correctly he never spoke to us again. ha

Karen and Gordon must have gone on another trip to Windsor and Eton. Must be a magical place.
